MISSION
Headshot Records L3C was created to help educate and empower aspiring artists in at risk communities. Our mission is to help these individuals set realistic views of their life, create achievable goals, give guidance into the music industry and then provide the resources they’ll need on the path to success. Through private and federal donations, we aim to offer an alternative to the dangers and difficulties associated with daily life in the Chicago area, by offering tuition assistance, mental health treatment options and guidance towards a realistic future with aspirational opportunity. Through creative and asymmetric thinking, we are taking on the mental health epidemic currently plaguing Chicago with violence. Though beginnings are humble, we hope to expand our audience and our platform to carry on our message of equality, dignity, and respect for your fellow human being.
OBJECTIVES
- Scout, identify and recruit aspiring artists to groom and train for futures in the music industry.
- Nurture and build upon their strengths and weaknesses to help create a life path specific to the individual that will help them find lasting and meaningful purpose.
- Shine light on mental health awareness and treatment in areas it is most urgently needed.
- Offer the most artist friendly contracts possible without hidden or deceptive clauses ensuring the artist is the one receiving the credit they are due.
- Fund community development projects
VISION
Through active recruiting we are trying to identify enough artists to train for successful careers in the music industry with hopes that they will carry forward Headshot Records beliefs for helping and healing their fellow human. We want to change a culture surrounded by violence one person at a time in hopes that each of those persons will help spread the importance of mental health being a key building block in establishing a bright future.
